Who we are

Hameedahs Delights is a home-based caterer at 7 Cherry Ln, Belle Constantia, Cape Town, 7895. We are the responsible party for the information described here. Our Information Officer is the owner of Hameedahs Delights, who you can reach on 084 271 1484 or by WhatsApp on the same number.

What we collect and why

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), enquiry type, event date and guest numbers (optional) and your message. We use these only to reply to your enquiry.
• Online orders: your name, phone number, whether you collect or want delivery, your delivery address (only for delivery), the date you need your order, any notes and the items you choose. We use these to prepare, confirm and deliver your order.
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or through social media, which we use to answer you.

Form and order details are sent to us by email. The website itself does not keep a database of customers. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.

Cookies and your browser

• Google Analytics (cookies starting _ga) helps us understand how people find and use the site. It is only switched on if you choose Accept analytics, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
• Your browser remembers your cookie choice, and the items in your order basket for up to 14 days, so you do not lose them. Your name, phone number and address are never saved in your browser. For the current visit only, it also remembers if you closed the ordering notice or the cookie question, so we do not ask again straight away.
• If you dismiss the notice about online ordering, your browser remembers that until you close the tab.

Who else is involved

Our website and email are hosted by Hostinger. Google provides the optional analytics. When you choose to message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) handles that message under its own privacy policy. We share your information with nobody else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it, and how we protect it

We keep enquiries and order details only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or order and to meet our legal record-keeping duties. The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and our forms are protected against automated misuse.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us on 084 271 1484 and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
